How to keep your Freedom Fit Tee perfect.

Washing instructions

The basics. Every wash.

Protects the outside from friction with other garments.

Wash separately or with similar colours

New fabrics can bleed. Washing separately the first time is safest.

A cold first wash minimises shrinkage. The fabric is pre-washed, but be careful.

Hang to dry

No tumble dryer on the first wash. Let the fabric settle naturally.

By colour category

Each colour needs slightly different care.

Dark colours

Paint It Black, Club Navy, Black Navy, Club Caviar. Wash with similar dark colours. Use liquid detergent — powder can leave a white residue on dark fabric.

Light colours

White Smoke, Sensational White, Blue Beach. Wash only with lights. Prevent discolouration by not mixing with denim or dark items.

Earth tones

Club Mocha, Sandbar, Club Chocolate, Club Caramel. Relatively colourfast. Wash with similar tones for best results.

Tips & Tricks

Get the most out of your tee.

How do I prevent shrinkage?
The FFT is pre-washed in production, so most shrinkage is already out. But it’s still 100% cotton — always wash at 30°C and NEVER use the dryer. That keeps the fit stable.
Can I tumble dry the FFT?
No. The wash label says explicitly: DO NOT TUMBLE DRY. Hang dry or lay flat on a towel. This is the single most important rule for the lifespan of your shirt.
How do I prevent pilling?
Interlock cotton pills much less than standard jersey, but friction is the enemy. Wash inside out, use a garment bag if in doubt, and avoid overloading the machine.
What’s the best way to store my FFT?
Folded, not on a hanger. Hangers can stretch the shoulders over time. Store in a dry space, away from direct sunlight (prevents fading).
What do I do about a stain?
Treat stains immediately with cold water and mild soap. Don’t rub — dab gently. Then wash the whole shirt at 30°C. Don’t use harsh stain removers.
Should I use fabric softener?
Better not. Fabric softener coats the fibres and reduces breathability. 24-Hour Cotton™ is naturally soft — softener is unnecessary.
How long does the colour last?
With proper washing (30°C, inside out, no bleach) the colours maintain their intensity for dozens of washes. Avoid direct sunlight when drying — that’s the #1 cause of fading.

Interlock cotton absorbs less odour than standard jersey. After intense use, wash with a splash of white vinegar in the softener compartment — removes bacteria without damaging the fabric.
